Complete the Primary Project by assigning resources to projects while minimizing waste. [This prototype does not have a time restriction to complete the Primary Project, for now]

  1. click "request new project" [max 8 concurrent] and  "request new resource" [max 6 concurrent] a couple of times each.
  2. click on a resource to select it, then on a project to assign it. Alternatively, select a project and then a resource. Same outcome.

Every tick/second, resources assigned to a project will:

  • contribute their capabilities (the bright squares). If the project has the matching capability as a requirement, it will reduce the remaining project requirements and be closer to completion.  If the resource has an unneeded capability, this is added to the project's accumulated waste.
  • reduce their current capacity ( indicated in UI as currentCapacity/maxCapacity). Once their current capacity reduced to zero, or the project is complete, the resource is returned to the resource pool and has their maxCapacity reduced by one.  WARNING: if the resource pool is full [max 6 resources], resources cannot be returned from a project and will become waste.


Resources will recover current capacity every tick/second while not assigned to a project. 


Resources reduced to zero maxCapacity will be removed from the pool permanently and become waste. Congratulations on efficiently using a resource's full capacity.


Every completed project will contribute its fulfilled requirement towards the Primary Project (top left), gain the player Success Stars, and add its waste towards your ongoing waste tracker (top right). [Future builds may require spending Success Stars to request projects or resources; for now these are free]


Waste can be managed with a waste management project, which accepts ANY capability towards its requirements. Waste management projects contribute nothing towards the Primary Project and provide no Success Stars.


If a player fails to complete a project within it's timeline, or deletes a project or resource, they will suffer a demerit.

The "simulation" is over once the Primary Project is completed. [This prototype does not enforce an ending, and does not yet summarize your performance through a calculation of demerits, Success Stars and unmanaged waste... though their consequences should be apparent...]
